Location : BENSALEM, PENNSYLVANIA Duration: 6+ months Install, configure and administer the SQL Server enterprise software and instance Database internal parameters, Backup/Recovery and HA configurations Install and configure database monitoring tools Hardware tech refresh (Host to host database move) Database copies/Refresh (Prod to Dev, QA) Database auditing and compliance Coordinate and work with database vendors for resolution on major incidents Provide database support to application teams Provide 24 x7 support and mentor the team on database activities Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot MS SQL and Oracle databases on Windows and UNIX servers Plan the database upgrade, migration and patching Logical and physical database design and implementation Backup and restore of databases Performance tuning experience Experience in DTS packages Strong experience in replication, log shipping and clustering Experience in application DBA support activities Cluster planning, setup and configuration and load balancing design SQL EM Metric design and configuration Define performance benchmarks and metrics Develop database re-usable components Define/redefine root-cause-analysis(RCA) process and methods Develop data purging, archival management methods and best practices OS level activities related to database tasks and basic windows administration Experience on ITIL based delivery, preferably with ITIL Foundation Certification.
