Candidates must be local and available for a F2F interview. Candidates
must have at least 5 years of U.S work experience including a financial
trading background. Must be strong on Java Server side development.
*Main Function*
The main function of this candidate is to contribute to the build out of
Credit-specific and Cross-Asset services. These global services include
industry regulatory deliverables to meet the up-coming Dodd-Frank and EMIR
mandates as well as Central Reference Data services and CDS Curve Marking &
Valuations platforms. The candidate will be responsible for designing,
championing and delivering software solutions in-line with business
priorities. As most of the existing systems are in the process of being
re-designed and re-built, the candidate will have the opportunity to help
drive implementation while contributing to the streamlining and
straight-thru-processing of trades across different systems and asset
groups.
*Main Duties*
- Be part of a small but dynamic team of developers and deliver
innovative technology solutions for industry-leading Fixed Income business.
- Design and build systems for CDS (Credit Default Swaps) Reference data
maintenance and distribution; drive full project life cycle until delivery
and provide development and production support thereafter.
- Design and build systems for real-time Margin and product Valuation
- Design and build systems for real-time product Limit checks
- Design and build systems for CDS Curve Marking & Valuations; drive
full project life cycle until deliver and support thereafter.
- Design, develop and lead development of integrated applications using
Java, J2EE (EJB, MDB, JMS, JSP), Database (Oracle), Middleware (TIBCO),
Solace and Web technologies. Interface with other IT applications groups
and business users to collect and analyze requirements and deliver
solutions.
- Deliver projects in a fast-paced environment and work with different
analytic and technology groups to produce high quality solutions in a
timely manner.
- Provide level II support to trading desk and research group as
required.
- Collaborate with globally distributed teams to maintain a consistent
service
*Person Requirements*
- Bachelors/Masters Degree in Science or Engineering.
- At least 5 years Java server-side experience, hard-core knowledge of
Java design patterns. Familiarity with Java VM architecture and extensive
knowledge of system optimization and performance tuning.
- Excellent background in message-oriented-middleware, XML, Web
presentation technologies, Database programming (Oracle), SQL and Stored
Procedures.
- Good knowledge of Spring and Hibernate
- Excellent analytical skill and critical thinking skills.
- Quick learner with excellent communication and organization skills.
- Energetic and motivated, willing to take on challenging tasks, capable
of working independently or in a team setting to deliver solutions under
tight deadlines.
- Extensive Knowledge of Linux, Networking, Messaging technologies and
scripting languages (Shell, Perl) required.
- Experience with distributed caches a plus.
- Working knowledge of Fixed Income and Credit Derivative products is a
plus.
Self starter, highly motivated individual, team player who can take a
problem from initial stages through tactical and strategic solutions with
minimal guidance
