*REQUIREMENT DETAILS:*
Position: Senior SQL DBA
Location: Sacramento, CA
Duration: 12+ months
*Skills Required*
Database Installation/Configuration/Maintenance in SQL 2005/2008 and 2012-
Services must be available to install and configure, upgrade, maintain and
tune various databases to include:
Working in very large OLTP DB systems with high transaction rates.
Install, configure and support SQL databases for Business Systems
environments
Monitor database space and capacity, estimate sizing and growth
requirements
Database performance tuning, review & tune complex SQL statements
Maintain Backup and Recovery procedures
Assume ownership of database related problems; pursue short and
long-term problem resolution and root cause analysis
Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to solve
database level issues including availability and stability of the database
environments
Work with vendors or application support teams to gather
information, determine and implement resolutions
Proactively research and identify database level patches and
upgrades
Provide 24/7 on call and or onsite support
Maintain standard operating procedures specifically focused on
stable database environments
Experience in SQL 2012 and especially Always ON implementation.
