This is expected to be a long term project. Experience with IBM on both zOS platform and IBM DB2 LUW on zLinux/zVM platforms are mandatory. Location is Houston, Texas. We re looking for a Senior DBA to administer and maintain non-production and production database environments for the Global Claims Technology division using the following technologies: IBM DB2 on zOS platform and IBM DB2 LUW on zLinux/zVM platforms. We expect the candidate to have working knowledge of DB2 utilities (REORG, FLASH COPY, RESTORE), DB2 performance tuning, exposure to PEGA and IBM Process Server database architecture, DB2 v10 and new functions, DB2 command Editor and IBM data studio, handling DB2 LOBs, and DB2 connect. Experience with IBM InfoSphere Information Server products is a significant plus. DBA will be responsible for standards and design of physical data storage, maintenance, access, and security administration. Additional duties include: backup and recovery, configuration of database parameters, prototyping designs against logical data models, definition of data repository, data dictionaries and warehousing requirements, optimization of database access and allocation of database resources for optimum configuration of database performance and cost.
