*Job Title: Business Analyst* *Location: Boston, MA* *Duration: 6+ months* An opportunity exists for a *Business Analyst *to gather and document requirements on a program mandated to retire old systems and launch new ones. We are looking for an individual who is self-directed, energetic, flexible, organized, and has excellent written and verbal communication skills and must be comfortable working in a fast paced and frequently changing business environment. *Responsibilities:* Gathering business requirements, performing business systems analysis, documenting detailed business requirements, data mapping Work with a multi-site development team to define, test, and implement changes. Knowledge of Life insurance products and concepts Ability to allocate time efficiently; handle multiple projects & deliverables concurrently when there are competing priorities Complete documentation of current system operations and business processes, using SDLC methodology. Ability to influence and negotiate with others to meet project deadlines. Ensure clients' requirements are clearly understood, communicated and implemented to provide an effective solution. *MUST-HAVES: * *7 years BA experience*, preferably in transferring functionality from old to new systems Proven experience in learning new technologies and tools at a rapid pace. Expertise in structured analysis and design, writing detailed specifications, designing test strategies, test cases and plans for user acceptance; system and regression testing, executing testing conditions and analyzing problems discovered in test Thoroughly familiar with Microsoft Office Products, especially Word, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation, facilitation and interviewing. Strong analytical and interpersonal skills to work effectively with the user community, understand their customer s perspective, but are able to influence decisions.
