*I will need two professional references submitted with resume for this position.* *Position: SQL Specialist* *Location: New York, NY* *Duration: 520 Hours* *Local will get first preference.* *Job Description: SCOPE OF SERVICES * The Municipal ID program is looking to implement an enrollment system that is a front-end application for applicants and front-end staff to enter information, a system for use in secondary reviews to prevent fraud, and a database to record applicant information, documents and photographs. • Installation and configuration of SQL Server 2012/2008R2/2008 databases on clustered, non-clustered and Virtual environments for in Production, Staging, QA and development environments. • Implementation, designing, developing, configuring and documenting databases architecture, including software, hardware and physical layout (Processor configurations, SAN LUNs, data file layouts); • Actively participated in gathering of User Requirement and System Specification. • Administer the MS SQL Server by creating user logins with appropriate roles, dropping and locking the logins, monitoring the user accounts, creation of groups, granting the privileges to users and groups. • Be involved in functional, performance and security testing. • Work with developers and administrators performing best practice databases functionality; • Create and manage encrypted Databases and encrypted Database objects, Write complex stored procedures and functions and integrated it with the front end application. • Create and manage distributed databases and AlwaysOn Availability Groups. • Involve in performance tuning and query optimization. • Schedule the backups for Databases and Transaction log. Performed restoration operations.
