But NDTV has breached this barrier now and it's channel NDTV-Good times, which is a lifestyle channel, is now showing & in effect, promoting Beef consumption in its programmes like "HighWay on my plate" and "Around the World in 7 Plates".This was not the case earlier but with Congress at the helm, it seems, they are trying to convert the english speaking young people to Beef & pork Eaters and humiliate Hindus & Muslims alike. Forget about the Hindu religious beliefs for a while, Beef costs are very cheap in India but does a very heavy harm to Indian economy. A Farmer pays 300 rupees per Bigha to a tractor or burns 150 rupees worth of Diesel per bigha which a Bull can plough only on a very low cost. We never enhanced our local technoloigies unlike Israel. Selling the cattle for meat has become a cheaper option. We need to save our cattle from being killed for meat. We have to do this for our own good, to save bio-fuels and for getting organic manure. There is a plain economic reason inherent in our religious beliefs which may sound uncool to some people.
