I have sucessfully (or so it would appear) compiled ssh 1.2.26 with gcc
2.8.1. When I try to execute either sshd or ssh, even with something as
simple as the --version flag, i get this error:
ssh: can't load library 'libnsl.so.1'
sshd: can't load library 'libnsl.so.1'
I have at least traced libnsl.so.1 as being a simlink to
/usr/local/lib/libnsl.so where it also resides. I have traced libnsl.so
back to glibc which I had recently installed as ver 2.0.6. I can't find
anywhere to indicate why this file can't execute. I have set the
permissions to 755 and have tried executing ssh and sshd as root. Before
making this upgrade, both sshd and ssh were functioning.
