  1) unless otherwise specified, each line w/ a url specifies a client.
  2) the list is arranged by os.
  3) the generic distribution is not included
  4) please send me additions/modifications/etc.
  5) thanks to those who have sent me additions/modifications -- no etc. yet
  6) someone should start a faq which happens to contain the list below or a 
     superset of it.
