Hi,

I am trying to run SSH reliably on my mac but having many problems.

The problem:

My SSH sessions die unexpectedly while I am using them or if they remain
idle for any amount of time.

The Environment:

I am connecting to Solaris boxes that are running SSH 1.2.23 they are
running solaris 2.6.

My mac is running macos 8.6 with all the latest patches. Our network is
ocnfigured to use DHCP. I have tried both NiftyTelnet SSH v1.1 and the
latest F-Secure SSH. I have not tried the new MindTerm client, I just
found out about it by reading the archive.

I don't know what other information is useful except that connecting from
a windows box or from another solaris box works perfectly, the clients
will stay up for days at a time without a problem. It is just with my mac
that rhis is happening. There is no one else with a mac here so I can't
tell you if it is just my mac or if other macs have the same problem.

I don't really know how my settings are supposed to be set in the
different control panels since i am new to macs. I have DHCP set in my
TCP/IP control panel.

BTW I also have DAVE 2.1 running, but I don't think it should be causing
this.

thanks in advance,
yon.
