You also have to run sshd.
I have mine run from an rc3.d file.. which is probably wrong. .but works =:)

vi S85sshd
/usr/local/sbin/sshd

well.. that is .. I have set it up, but not yet rebooted to test. I just 
ran ./sshd from command prompt.  It works.  If I get some time, I might 
read the docs and see what should go into inetd.conf hehe
