Hello,
I try to export the X display from an HP with
HP-UX 10.2 to a Sun with SunOS 5.5.1, using ssh
version 2.0.13, installed on both machines.
While a command-line connection works fine, the
X Forwarding does not. According to the man pages:
"If the user is using X11 (the DISPLAY environment
variable is set), the connection to the X11
display is automatically forwarded".
On the other hand, it is stated that "the user
should not manually set DISPLAY".
So it seems that DISPLAY must be set, but not by
the user. By whom and where, then?
In my case, I connect from the Sun to the HP by
ssh and then give (on C shell) "set DISPLAY" but
it doesn't work.
Do you have any ideas?
