Yes, SSH1 and SSH2 are different and incompatible.
You need to either:
a> Get a SSH client that does both SSH1 and SSH2. SecureCRT fron VanDyke
does this.
b> Install your SSH server as SSH2 in SSH1 compatibility mode. This is
relatively easy and is covered in the docs to SSh2.
