Hello again,

  the second error reported in my previous
posting, on

FATAL: Connecting to <fr_host> failed: TCP/IP Failure

has been fixed. (The ssh deamon was not running on
the french host after a shut down on january 1st.)

  However, X-tunnelling problems persist!
