I may be posting to the wrong list, but here goes...

I am attempting to enable seamless scp/ssh w/ v 2.0.13 for transfer of log
files...I spent numerous hours last night going through MAN pages...and I am
missing something...

With PWD auth set, I am prompted for root's pwd...(I am logging as
root...I'll worry about perms later...) I can get logged in port X
back...all is well...however, as with v 1.xxx one would use the
RhostsRSAAuthentication, strings in the sshd_config files...this no worky in
sshd2...because of the config file changes...here is a snippit from the
verbose debug...

<SNIP>

Feb 10 22:13:34 gate sshd2[742]: connection from "192.168.1.1" Feb 10

port 2824 is the response port...I am using high ports 5554 I am interested
in allowing hostbased AND publickey auth, and disabling pwd auth...

1.  Is it possible??

2.  What am I missing...???

THX ALL!
