I do not have access to a Linux box, but for Solaris 7 you would look
under /usr/share/lib/terminfo/d/ or you can use the find command to
locate "vt100" on the Linux boxes and this should give you the general
areas to look in for available terminal emulators.
I used the command:
export TERM=vt100
on the Solaris machine before I connected to a HPUX 11.O machine to
see if I could get Xforwarding for vt100. Low and behold, I got a
couple of font errors when I initiated the Xapp, but everything worked
correctly.
