Hi,

I am relatively new to OpenSSH. I have installed it on a Redhat Linux 6.1
system. I didn't have any problems during installation.
I also was able to start the ssh daemon. But when I try to log on, it
doesn't want to recognize any username-password combination and it ends
with a 'Permission denied' error. I used NiftyTelnet SSH for Mac and got
the error. I also used ssh to connect to localhost and got the same
error. Why doesn't the SSHD want to accept any of my existing users?

I also have a second question: is there a startup script available for
OpenSSH. If yes, where can I find it. If no, how can I make it start on
boot (I haven't got much experience with activating programs at boot, so
any help would really be appreciated; also any good reference site about
this subject would do me some good.).

Thanks for help.
