hello, i've been trying to get a remote xsession going with openssh /
securecrt and an nt xwindows client for some time now...the hardest part was
getting through the firewall here at work, but with ssh/openssh - its not a
problem any more...unfortunately i'm definately a rookie when it comes to
most things linux and i've found very little documentation (none) on running
a remote xsession through openssh - could you point me in the direction of
some remote x session documentation?
if it helps, i have the following error messages from securecrt /openssh /
exceed (hummingbird's x client) when i try to run xterm from an openssh
session
(securecrt) channel open failure reported tryng to forward connection from
127.0.0.1:1544 to localhost:6000
(xterm) X connection to BOZACK:11.0 broken (explicit kill or server
shutdown).
If i run xterm by pointing Exceed to my server at home, it looks like it
connects but on "Checking status of command" i get Xstart Client Startup
Application: SH-1.99-OpenSSH_2.1.1
any help you could give would be greatly appeciated
