I am trying to do something VERY simple. This is the first time I've used OpenSSH, but this has pretty much worked for me in the past with SSH Secure Shell from www.ssh.net. All I want to do is connect via SSH from SecureCRT. This is what I have done. Downloaded/Installed both Zlib and OpenSSL. Then I installed OpenSSH w/ the default config. Upon trying to connect with SecureCRT I get a invalid password error. I have SecureCRT set to: 3DES, MD5, Password Auth, and Standard SSH Server. I then tried a: ./configure --without-pam --with-md5-passwords It errored out because of the --without-pam for some reason. Anyways, I did the --with-md5-passwords thinking this will fix it. It still returns a invalid password. I'm not that well versed w/ Linux, so forgive me if I am doing something stupid. However, the defaults for SSH Secure Shell works. Thanks. _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com.
