Problem with scp

Hello:   I have a problem with scp, when I execute:    scp user@host:path/file user@remote:path/file   When I introduce the password this messages appears:   You have no controlling tty.  Cannot read passphrase. lost connection   How can I resolve?   Thank you very much.
