When the file /etc/nologin exists sshd correctly denies logins, but doesn't display the contents of /etc/nologin, but ask another 2 times for a password. The file /etc/pam.d/sshd is the one found in the OpenSSH 2.3.0 tarball. PAM has version 0.72. Did I miss something? Willy
