Dear folks, I cannot slogin or ssh to machines without typing a password or passphrase even though I have carefully put my public key /home/nicku/.ssh/id_dsa.pub into the file /home/nicku/.ssh/authorized_keys2 on the remote machine. $slogin -v remote .... debug: try pubkey: /home/nicku/.ssh/id_dsa debug: PEM_read_bio_DSAPrivateKey failed debug: read DSA private key done Enter passphrase for DSA key '/home/nicku/.ssh/id_dsa': $ rpm -qa | grep openssh openssh-server-2.3.0p1-4 openssh-askpass-2.3.0p1-4 openssh-askpass-gnome-2.3.0p1-4 openssh-clients-2.3.0p1-4 openssh-2.3.0p1-4 I have used OpenSSH with the SSH1 protocol for a long time, using RSAAuthentication, and not needing to type passphrases.
