Hi!
I have some questions regarding the use of OpenSSH.
I have generated the keys (ssh-keygen and ssh-keygen -d) on two
machines, brest and lorient. The name of the user being ted, I named the
files like this:
brest (/home/ted/.ssh):
id_dsa_ted_brest
id_dsa_ted_brest.pub
identity_ted_brest
identity_ted_brest.pub
on lorient (/home/ted/.ssh):
id_dsa_ted_lorient
id_dsa_ted_lorient.pub
identity_ted_lorient
identity_ted_lorient.pub
then I transfered id_dsa_ted_brest.pub and identity_ted_brest.pub to
lorient under the name authorized_keys2 and authorized_keys
and I transfered id_dsa_ted_lorient.pub and identity_ted_lorient.pub to
brest under the name authorized_keys2 and authorized_keys
However, it does not seem to work properly because when I try to connect
via ssh
ssh -l ted lorient (from brest for instance) it says:
[ted@brest ~]$ ssh -l ted lorient
The authenticity of host 'lorient (172.16.53.6)' can't be established.
RSA key fingerprint is xxxxx (I removed it from the email)
Are you sure you want to continue connecting (yes/no)? yes
Warning: Permanently added 'lorient,172.16.53.6' (RSA) to the list of
known hosts.
and it creates a file known_hosts2
It is the same if I connect from lorient to brest. It seems like the
authorized_keys are not recognised. What did I do wrong? Is there
something I missed?
Thanks in advance for any answer.
Daniel
