Hi,
I managed to install and test the newest version of openssh. My
system:SuSE 7.0. If I connect from outside my LAN with sftp or ssh -2
, I get an authentification failure. I changed my password before. If
I reset my password to the old one Its possible. But this prob is not
straight. with sftp-x86 from Putty Homepage i can connect if my
passwort is in the command line ( -pw option) . but after password
question it fails. Locally( ssh -2 user@localhost or sftp) I get no
errors. If I connect over ssh prot.2 with securecrt I can tunnel my
pop request , But authentification fails there too !! After resetting
my old password : no prob ! Rinstalling openssl or openssh it is the
same ! I am completely clueless what to do ! ((ftp over ssh is the
same ....)
Please, any suggestions are welcomed! My Box is wonderful. But I wanna
change my password :)
((I also tried different compile options with no success))

bye Markus
