opensshl/protable opensshell

I am trying to install the portable opensshell. I installed zlib and
opensshl-0.9.6. When installing opensshl-0.9.6 I did not get any error.
How would I test it is working fine before installing portable openssh.
Is there any document that tell me how to test it. My platform is Aix
4.3.0.
