After having posted this question some time ago, I keep searching the solution and I found one message telling about a patch to allow chroot on Openssh. Looking into the file changelog of Openssh 2.5.1p1 I could see one topic related to the version 1.4 that says: 20000315 [snip] - Created contrib/ subdirectory. Included helpers from Phil Hands' Debian package, README file and chroot patch from Ricardo Cerqueira <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> [snip] So I got in contact with Ricardo Cerqueira, that gently sent me his patch to the version 2.5.2.p2 of Openssh. Now the question is, if the patch exists since the version 1.4, why it wasn't merged on the source tree until now? Or the developers of Openssh doesn't think this solution is the final solution?
