I am running the following version of Ssh.
> ssh -V
ssh: SSH Secure Shell 2.4.0 (non-commercial version) on sparc-sun-solaris2.8
The problem or (anomaly) that I am seeing is around transfer speeds.
While using scp to transfer from one machine to another on a 100Mbit/s
switch network
I am getting low transfer speeds (see below), I understand that some of the
bandwidth
is utilized in key exchange ( I am using user based authentication) but I
would not
think that the numbers below should be correct. (seems to low)
However when I use straight ftp (not sftp) I get exceptional and expected
performance
much like you would want to see on a 100Mbit network.

Obviously you can see there is a HUGE difference in transfer speeds and
times.
Any Help would be appreciated
Thanks
