It's possible to run a X11 server on your Windows box (e.g. Hummingbird
Exceed), access your Linux server via SSH (I use Putty), and open X
applications with judicous setting of $DISPLAY. This avoids plain text
login passwords for the Linux box going over the LAN. 

Do you actually want to tunnel the X data through SSH (from the Linux box
to the Windows X server)?
