Hi there,

My apologies if this has surfaced in the past.
I wasn't able to find anything in the archives.

I have a major problem with ssh2 (Openssh 2.4.2).
Up till now I used openssh 1.2.2 which (sshd) accepted
a timeout option for the client. This doesn't
happen with sshd2.

As a result every 10' or so if a particular terminal
gets inactive (happens if one works with many terminals at
once) editor sessions and work are lost. Even worse some
of them continue to linger as processes even when the shell
exits.

What can I do about it? I would like to keep the KeepAlive
option to yes.

I am using BSDI 4.2 which was setup by a client of ours.
(This complicates things if you ask me to
modify the tcp_keepalive_time value of the kernel - if such
a thing exists in BSDI).

Thanks for any help,
Nikos Balkanas
