It appears that the SSLeay code is year-2000 safe.  This is my opinion,
based on my informal review of the code.  If you expect anything more
than this, expect to pay. :)

Note that the data structures that SSLeay manipulates are *not* Y2K
safe, c.f. GeneralizedTime, UTCTime, and the IETF PKIX certificate
profile that defines the interpretation rules for  two-digit years.
