Dear Folks, Okay, I've scanned the FAQ and the digest of this list and have been out of luck. Help me out, if you would. I have a Verisign certificate. I've been using it with our Netscape Commerce server. Now, out of curiosity, I'd like to turn it into a .pem and tool around with it. (No need to convert the Netscape .db files as I have the original certificate text E-Mail from Verisign. Er.. right? (Incidentally, FAQ's are outdated and talk about converting .der files. Curious. How does one convert Netscape .db certs nowadays?)) When I throw Verisign's E-Mail into "ssleay" (using the "verify") command, I get the error message stdin: /C=US/ST=Oregon/L=Portland/O=Panic LLC/CN=www.panic.com error 20 at 0 depth lookup:unable to get local issuer certificate Hmm. Anyhow, my question is simple: how can I take VeriSign's E-Mail, which only includes a "BEGIN CERTIFICATE" section, and generate a useable .pem (for Apache, for example)? Thanks in advance for any help you can provide. Be nice if I'm missing something obvious. =) Cabel +-------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Administrative requests should be sent to [EMAIL PROTECTED] | | List service provided by Open Software Associates, http://www.osa.com/ | +-------------------------------------------------------------------------+
