All of the wheel castings I have used from Locosteam and Walsall have turned like 
butter in my Unimat 3". For 
traction cast iron can not be beat. 

I also recall an ad from Argyle loco in Australia some time ago offering stainless 
drivers. Perhaps Gordon can 
update us on this.
