FYI - They are BLACK outs.  Not waves of low line power, but whole blocks of
the grid turned off intentionally so that entire substations don't go down
in an uncontrolled manner.  Pretty cool, eh?!  Businesses like the
uncertainty so much they are leaving the state.  I guess if enough leave,
along with 20% of the population, we won't have to build any new power
plants for a while. The air stays clean, the economy goes to hell draggin'
the rest of the country with it.  Good thing our railroad operations are not
dependent on the power co's like our sparkie brethern.

Unfortunately there will be no light at the end of this tunnel for many
years to come.  Since today is cool however, we'll probably get to keep the
lights on :<)
