Oh no you don't.  The term "wire drawing" is applied to when wire is reduced
in its cross section by pulling it through a die that is smaller than the
cross section the wire originally is/was.  A 1/2" OD wire can be reduced to
a caliber of #32 doing various passes using that process.  The other use of
that term is used to indicate wear when a high pressure gas or liquid wears
away the surface it is in contact with while flowing.  It eats a surface
away a molecule at a time and leaves a groove.  If the groove is in the seat
of a valve that valve will leak until the seat is remachined clean.  That's
why valves leak and drip.
