Ken, I have to disagree with you about the use of aluminum bronze where rubbing is involved. I manufacture worm speed reducers and that's all rubbing. I personally have made destructive tests to check on the AGMA's bronze recommendations for sliding surfaces. SAE bronze with a 9% to 11% al. content galls both the steel worm and the bronze worm gear. The recommended bronze to use, where sliding wear needs to be limited, is SAE 92. It has lead in it an that's what's needed. Arthur Mexico City
