Steve, It's a misunderstanding. My rack RR is not steam. It's an LGB 4046 pulling a similar looking wagon that's equiped with a 4046 motor block weighted so that neither one flips over backwards while climbing 30� slopes. I don't know about Mount Washington's rack RR but I do know about the Rigi RR in Switzerland. That one was a steam locomotive that now is in a museum in that country. It felt like the trailing wagon I was in had square wheels.
