Pete,

How about a Korean engine?

Seriously though, We have here in the middle of Europe similar
problems. Some engines have "Ronson" valves, Regner has his valves
type one and two. Some gas cans have a thread type A some a Type B and
some are designed for camping stoves where a needle pierces the can
and is sealed by a rubber casket and so on. So you remain true to one
manufacturer of gas and one loco builder with possibly only two
adapters! or you pays your money and you takes your choice. So without
your collection of long, short, snap on or screw on adapters you may
well wind up with a can of gas, an adapter and an engine, but with no
way to get gas into the engine. I am busy changing my filler valves to
the same type. One more parting shot Ronson valves come with the
breather hole at the bottom or at the side just beneath the thread
Also in two different threads. If you order a replacement valve you
may find that you receive a valve with the vent at the side just below
the thread to replace a valve with the vent at the bottom. You screw
it in and find you cannot gas into the tank because the thread is more
than 2 mm thick and covers the vent hole. Only you don't realize it at
the time. They both look the same andthe breather is so small you
hardly notice it. Now don't laugh but I have been told we have a
European standards institute, who ensure that every thing is standardized!!!

Have fun Pete!
 Regards,
Bert in Austria.
