Friends, Next question - what silver solder alloys are preferred for our small scale boilers, and why? Are there silver solders that promote or retard the dezincification of brass? or that are too brittle for our purposes? or that are too hard to obtain? or that are unsuitable for any of a number of reasons? or that are ideal for our purposes? I take it as a given that many/most of us are not professional HVAC mechanics who know all about this stuff, but that we are interested amateurs pursuing a hobby and we need some guidance and direction.
