Glen is having health issues again. His shoulder surgery went very well, as most of you know from seeing us at Diamondhead. Still no real problems there. HOWEVER, the heart issues from 3 years ago are becoming more problematic. When we were in Hawaii a scant month ago, Glen had sufficient problems to eliminate our planned SCUBA dives (we even aborted one dive after we were about 12 feet down and on our way into deeper waters...), truncate most of our planned sightseeing and side adventures AND caused a trip to the Kaiser Clinic in Hilo. When we returned to the mainland, an immediate visit with his primary care doctor resulted in a referral to his cardiologist. That appointment happened yesterday. We are now working on a plan to re-do all of the testing that happened three years ago with the thought that by-pass surgery is probably going to occur this summer. IF we are able to adhere to said plan, then we will be at the Steam-Up following his second round of tests (which includes another angiogram). If surgery is determined, it could happen either as the result of an immediate failure during any one of the tests OR, as currently planned, about ten days after the Steam-Up. So, there you have it. We aren't as concerned about reservations since we have homes in Sacramento, but I guess I will need to cut a check to Sonny now that we have a plan... I intend to be there, if only for part of the time, even if Glen gets slammed into the hospital along the way. So keep us in your prayers and we hope to see y'all there!
