I would be happy to do my best, but I admit to be total ignorant of how to
git-format anything :-/
Please, could you point me to an easy tutorial on how to do this?

I see in your patch file this command:

diff --git a/src/man/sssd-ldap.5.xml b/src/man/sssd-ldap.5.xml

Are there other tasks I need to complete before or after?
