lookups are a 1.12 feature. You can find a recent sssd-1.12 build in
Lukas' copr repo

I will try to test this feature with version 1.12 on the non-production
machine later - need some kind of feedback about this? And, Sumit, can I
hope, that version sssd 1.12 with this feature will be released in RHEL7.1?
