I had to "stretch" the Lip a little to match the contour of the Clearview but it installed securely. After a 1500 mile trip I am convinced the Lip worked! The noise and buffeting was noticeably and significantly lessened. At 60 mph I could ride with my Schuberth flip-up chinbar raised. I recommend its use as it is now designed. The two-stage foam filters (that's what the "TS" stands for) do filter like a son of a gun, and they can be easily over-oiled. I've never heard of one being quite so restrictive, however. I seemed to have broken myself into that pace ... and I can get 49 mpg on summer gas. Hovever, as the hours pass, I tend to creep up to the higher 4000 rpm range, and I have to back it down and keep an eye on speed. Off the slabs, I will top out at 75 (conditions permitting), but there are some good streatches of road out there (off slabs) take can take the full 4000 rpm limit ... I like to top off at 300 - to 330 miles and take a 10 minute break, if its not too hot .. longer in the middle of the summer. Something I can add from my own experience with Clearview aftermarket windshields (the newer Generation III ones) - first, they wiggle around and deform somewhat at speeds above about 110 mph, and second, they shatter into jagged pieces when they break. I'm not criticizing or complaining, just pointing this out. I had the opportunity this summer to bust two windshields, both because of motorcycle rollovers. The Clearview Gen III broke into about 8 pieces, with surprisingly sharp corners on the pieces. This was a static rollover, meaning, the parked motorcycle fell over upside down into a ditch at the side of the road, so there was no forward motion. The other windshield, which was an OEM Honda ST1100 European spec (gray smoke) one, bent over so badly that it had a big scuff on the backside where it rubbed up against my Throttlemeister (!!!), but it didn't break, crack or splinter, it just popped out of the mounting brackets. This was a result of a lateral flipover into another ditch following a low-side. FWIW.
