the good message is that it also does not crash, but with tcpdump I see
vlan tags when no vlan devices configured on the respective eth, if so
I do not see tags anymore vlan tags on the trunk interface.

The same packages we saw double vlan tagged a few minutes ago now appear single
vlan tagged (and of course, other packets that were shown single vlan tagged
before are now shown without vlan tag / eth type 0x0800).
