This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled
ALSA: HDA: Fix automute for Gateway NV79
to the 2.6.38-stable tree which can be found at:

The filename of the patch is:
alsa-hda-fix-automute-for-gateway-nv79.patch
and it can be found in the queue-2.6.38 subdirectory.
If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to the stable tree,

The PCI SSID is 1025:031c and the codec SSID is 1025:031d,
so the driver mistakes this for a SKU value, but looking at
the numbers, this is obviously wrong.
