This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled
drm/i915: Mark the ringbuffers as being in the GTT domain
to the 3.4-stable tree which can be found at:
http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/stable-queue.git;a=summary
And I see that it made it into 3.4.3. Thanks very much for that and all
your other work on the stable kernels. :)
FYI, as I probably should have mentioned this earlier: the bug in
question also affects users of 3.0.* kernels (e.g. Ubuntu 11.10 users),
and the backported patch can also be applied to 3.0-stable, if appropriate.
For reference, the backported patch now lives at:
drm-i915-mark-the-ringbuffers-as-being-in-the-gtt-domain.patch
in stable-queue.git /releases/3.4.3/
commit d5b9a38383178758ddf671b7a5551afab4e504b2 in linux-3.4.y
commit 71583724d282be6e3ced2c21633466035f09b356 in linux-3.2.y
Have a good one,
Daniel
