Ah, I see what happened now, the patch fails to build in the 3.6 tree:

Which is why I dropped it.  As it applied cleanly, I forgot to send you
the FAILURE notice, my fault.

So, if someone wants to backport it to 3.6 so that it _build_ properly,
I'd be glad to take it.
