I agree that it should eventually hit -stable, but it is not an urgent 
issue and should not be applied prematurely.  Please wait for this patch 
to have at least a few weeks of exposure in Linus' tree.  Also note that 
it is not userspace memory corruption so much as an application not waiting 
for I/O to complete as they're supposed to (the app is doing something 
really stupid).
