The "sparc64" build only works on Solaris 10 or later. For Solaris 5.9
you will need to use the "sparc" build. The table on the "Download STAF"
page indicates the exact operating system versions that are supported:
Solaris 10+ (Sparc 64-bit) 64-bit 3.2.5 STAF325-setup-solaris-sparc64.jar
Solaris 2.7+ (Sparc 32-bit) 32-bit 3.2.5 STAF325-setup-solaris-sparc.jar

[staf-users] [STAF] Unable to start STAFProc on Solaris 5.9
After installing STAF (STAF325-setup-solaris-sparc64.jar) on a Solaris 5.9
machine, I fail running STAF, getting this message:
ld.so.1: STAFProc: fatal: libm.so.2: open failed: No such file or
directory Killed
I made sure that PATH and CLASSPATH are appropriately configured to
include staf, but I don't know what is the problem.
