Hello Staf-users,
Have a query....!
I understand STAF has many powerful features that can be put-together to create
a customized test-automation harness. However, are there “complete”
examples (ideally, of complete test-harness developed with STAF and in use by
others) that can be tweaked for my project? I feel many of th features I
need are common to other test-harness too.
Given below the list of my requirements which Im trying out to do using
STAF\STAX tool (Think those which are fairly common requirements).
- Ability to launch application-under-test (e.g server) on PC1, and a client on
PC2
- Send commands to execute a test-case against server & client
- Ability to read test case from test suite (Excel or text file) & then
execute
- Ability to monitor progress, record result (& traces) of the test-case
- Ability to initiate recovery mechanism if the test-case gets stuck/crashes etc
- Ability to initiate multiple tests-cases (suite) over-night (in linear
sequence and/or with special relations between test-cases and their results)
- Ability to automate test-report generation (Excel or text format)
Does STAF\STAX fulfils all my requirements which are mentioned above?. Please
suggest me regarding this.
