Did you follow the instructions for configuring STAFProc to run as a
service as documented in section "11. Starting STAFProc during system
reboot", sub-section "11.3 Windows" in the STAF Installation Guide at
http://staf.sourceforge.net/current/STAFInstall.pdf ? In particular, did
you enable "Allow service to interact with desktop" (step 10) in the
service properties as this is needed to allow STAFProc when run as a
service to interact with the desktop.
However, if you are trying to run STAFProc as a service on Windows Vista
or Windows Server 2008, note that these Windows operating systems no
longer support services interacting with the user desktop for security

Subject: [staf-users] process on monitor with staf as service
Hy.
I am here to write again to have help on STAF.
I launch STAF/bin/STAFPROC as service becouse I need it without whe
Windows or Linux login.
In this way I cannot launch the batch startstafproc, so I have to set
manually environment variabiles.
If I execute staf in this way, and I try to execute NOTEPAD from
remote machine, I cannot see it on monitor, but, if I run manually
STARTSTAFProc, I see it on monitor.
Do you have suggestions to see the notepad (or everything else) on the
screen having STAF launched as Service?
